Blow molding machine RFQ checklist

Use the same product and acceptance requirements when discussing equipment proposals. Leave unknown items open for discussion rather than estimating machine capabilities.

Information to prepare

  • Product drawing or sample description: dimensions, intended use, critical features and quality requirements.
  • Material: resin grade, regrind proportion, multilayer requirement and the function of each layer.
  • Weight and output: finished weight, flash and trim, cavity count and target accepted output per hour; state the units.
  • Mold: existing or new, mounting interfaces, envelope, weight and opening requirements.
  • Site: supply voltage and frequency, cooling water, compressed air, space and handling conditions.
  • Acceptance: weight, wall-thickness measurement points, appearance and dimensional criteria, trial resin and test conditions.
  • Commercial and service requirements: destination, requested schedule, installation, training and support; terms are confirmed separately.

Compare proposals on the same basis

Ask suppliers to identify the exact model, configuration, specification revision and validation method. Separate measured results from estimates and record the conditions, units and accepted-product basis.

For a measured comparison, agree the resin, product and mold, measurement boundary, sampling method and acceptance criteria before evaluating the figures.
